Bret Honeycutt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Barrera in the 5th minute of the match. Brad Mansfield received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 8th minute. Bret Honeycutt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 11th minute, Winston McRae got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 12th minute of the match Grant Workman sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bret Honeycutt skillfully saved the ball. Bret Honeycutt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brad Mansfield, who was totally free with the ball in the 19th minute. Bret Honeycutt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Barrera in the 21st minute of play. Monstars's defense didn't have a chance, in the 23rd minute, when Dalton Bledsoe scored to the left of an out of position Bryant Stroud, making the score, 1-0. In the 30th minute, Brad Mansfield ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Bret Honeycutt was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. Grant Workman's late challenge caught a Yankiz's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Grant Workman helped the player get up and apologised. In the 44th minute, Bruce Tang hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bret Honeycutt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Barrera in the 45th minute of the match.

The wind increased when Dalton Bledsoe made the kick off in the second half. Dalton Bledsoe sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Eliseo Lord came up free with the goalie in the 54th minute, the Yankiz fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Eliseo Lord couldn't finish the play. Yankiz's Eliseo Lord got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Yankiz's Bret Honeycutt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 61st minute of the match, managed to save Yankiz from getting a goal against them. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Barrera in the 62nd minute of play forced Yankiz's goalkeeper Bret Honeycutt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 67th minute, Cole Payne got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bryant Stroud took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Cole Payne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 72nd minute, Monstars's Ahmed Barrera ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Bret Honeycutt. Bret Honeycutt yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-2. After some fancy dribbling in the 79th minute, Brad Mansfield managed to get in a good position for a shot. Monstars's supporters rose to their feet, but Brad Mansfield was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Bret Honeycutt breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bret Honeycutt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Barrera in the 81st minute of the match. Bruce Tang kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Monstars's J.P. Roark shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 86th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Bret Honeycutt but with some difficulty. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cole Payne in the 89th minute of play forced Monstars's goalkeeper Bryant Stroud to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 93rd minute, Ahmed Barrera reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Bret Honeycutt. The goal made the score 1-3.
