The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Silas Clark during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 6 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Alachua! Milan Clement scored 1-1 in the 12th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dwayne Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Milan Clement in the 15th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Dwayne Rodrigues prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 15th match minute, Stoned Hempers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Virgil Willis to maneuver through the defense. The audience thought a goal was coming when Hal Munoz got free with Darell Ingram in the 18th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After 19 played minutes Alachua got a freekick which was hit by Ruben Crane. After a defensive mix-up in Stoned Hempers's zone, Chris Page stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dwayne Rodrigues came out of the goal and Chris Page tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Chris Page scored 1-2 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Dwayne Rodrigues, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 27 minutes into the match, Stoned Hempers's goal looked a bit too open when Chris Page came free, but Dwayne Rodrigues reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 34 minutes into the game, Alachua's Milan Clement nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dwayne Rodrigues made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-3. Milan Clement blasted a shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Dwayne Rodrigues having to make a save. Dwayne Rodrigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Milan Clement in the 48th minute of play. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Roy Hathaway to strike the kick off in the second half. When the match had gone on for 52 minutes, Chris Page took a quick shot and it went in 1-4 without a chance for Dwayne Rodrigues to make any attempt to save it. In the 67th minute, Hal Munoz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Milan Clement received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Dwayne Rodrigues tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Alachua booed when Stoned Hempers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Robby Acuna didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Milan Clement managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alachua's supporters rose to their feet, but Milan Clement was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dwayne Rodrigues breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Eddie Gant hit a great freekick 77 minutes into the match. After having played for 78 minutes, Chris Page managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Alachua's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Page was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Darell Ingram made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Roy Hathaway in the 80th minute of play. In the 83rd match minute, Stoned Hempers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Winford Rios to maneuver through the defense. 84 minutes in the game, Chris Page fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Dwayne Rodrigues having to interfere. If Milan Clement had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 97th minute Chris Page shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dwayne Rodrigues saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
