Hobbs's Leland Boswell played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jess Segura in the 28th minute of play. Wafflemen FC's Federico McDonald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 34th minute of the match, managed to save Wafflemen FC from getting a goal against them. Julio Beasley recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 36th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 38th minute, Hobbs's Abraham Shafer ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Federico McDonald. Federico McDonald yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-0.

Jackson Cano received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 51st minute. Leland Boswell tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Federico McDonald was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Jess Segura struck a weak shot in the 86th minute. After 88 minutes, Abraham Shafer mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hobbs and the Wafflemen FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 88th match minute, Hobbs was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Abraham Shafer to maneuver through the defense. If Abraham Shafer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wafflemen FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
