Carmel Valley Village AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vito Barnard was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Carmel Valley Village AFC's Hunter Rollins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jorge Tabor in the 13th minute of play. In the 18th match minute, Carmel Valley Village AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Bolton to maneuver through the defense. If Vito Barnard had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 23rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. The supporters of Carmel Valley Village AFC booed when Club Proyecto 7 was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 24 match minutes in a wonderful position. Shaun Minor didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th match minute, Carmel Valley Village AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ervin Bolton to maneuver through the defense. Bryon Le Van made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Geraldo Hooks in the 35th minute of play. Jorge Tabor received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. Hunter Rollins tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Jorge Tabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hunter Rollins having to interfere. Hunter Rollins made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leo Toth in the 43rd minute of play. Kevin Hamilton's late challenge caught a Club Proyecto 7's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kevin Hamilton helped the player get up and apologised. Kevin Hamilton hit a great freekick 45 minutes into the match. If Leo Toth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Leo Toth was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd minute, Caleb Vilter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Leo Toth had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 55th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Carmel Valley Village AFC's Hunter Rollins got control of the ball when Jorge Tabor tried to sneak it across the goal line. Dave Soto kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. After 63 minutes, Frankie Rubin mouthed his way into the referee's book. Leo Toth sent away a hard shot on goal in the 78th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Felipe McElroy kicked well hit freekick during the 80th minute of the match. Through an outstanding action, after 81 minutes, Hunter Rollins successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leo Toth in the 88th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Hunter Rollins prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 94 minutes into the match, Carmel Valley Village AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Leo Toth came free, but Hunter Rollins reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Jorge Tabor fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 95th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hunter Rollins having to interfere. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
