Spectators: 7275 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 1775, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Jospeh Thurston got the match started through his kick off. Odell McConnell kicked well hit freekick during the 5th minute of the match. Goblin Ski Patrol's Johnson Peterson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hayden Cavazos in the 10th minute of play. In the 13th minute, IRON BOYS's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Francis Sherrill fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. Jospeh Thurston recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 14th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience thought a goal was coming when Francis Sherrill got free with Vicente Ayala in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Fletcher Hahn charged in rather forcefully in the 20th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Fletcher Hahn the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 20th minute, Fletcher Hahn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. An unexpectedly hard shot by Jospeh Thurston in the 24th minute of play forced IRON BOYS's goalkeeper Vicente Ayala to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Hayden Cavazos came up free with the goalie in the 27th minute, the IRON BOYS fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hayden Cavazos couldn't finish the play. Monte Hayes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 29th minute. Johnson Peterson tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 35th match minute, IRON BOYS was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Chuck Orozco to maneuver through the defense. Vicente Ayala made an important save on a dangerous shot by Odell McConnell in the 36th minute. After 40 minutes, Edmundo Estes mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Goblin Ski Patrol and the IRON BOYS players grew even worse after the yellow card. After having played for 41 minutes, Hayden Cavazos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. IRON BOYS's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hayden Cavazos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Monte Hayes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Francis Sherrill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Hayden Cavazos to strike the kick off in the second half. Vicente Ayala showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Francis Sherrill in the 53rd minute of the match. In the 54th minute Francis Sherrill shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vicente Ayala saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Hayden Cavazos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Francis Sherrill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 98th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Ayala having to interfere. The Goblin Ski Patrol supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching IRON BOYS's performance. The match ended with a win for IRON BOYS.
