In the 27th minute, Darell Ricks sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Carmel Valley Village AFC's Hunter Rollins didn't even have to move. The supporters of Carmel Valley Village AFC booed when New York Towers was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 46 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wilfred Garza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Carmel Valley Village AFC's Vito Barnard got a good chance for a goal in the 47th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

After a defensive mix-up in New York Towers's zone, Vito Barnard stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. King Wallace came out of the goal and Vito Barnard tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Ross Minton made a great header on Carmel Valley Village AFC's corner, it was just that New York Towers's King Wallace managed to reach the ball for a save. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tory Chaney during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 87th minute, Geraldo Hooks got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vito Barnard sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 93rd minute Geraldo Hooks shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but King Wallace saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. New York Towers had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
