In the 15th minute, Alfonzo Wilkins got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Miami Lightnings booed when ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bernardo McGill didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 19 minutes, Garry Elmore took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Ezra LoDuca to make any attempt to save it. Eric Siegel didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Alfonzo Wilkins went, in the 22nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-1 was the resulting score. Reed McNair sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29thth minute of the game Alfonzo Wilkins who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Miami Lightnings's Eric Siegel was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After 30 played minutes ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola got a freekick which was hit by Roosevelt Church. Alfonzo Wilkins received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Eric Siegel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Garry Elmore fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ezra LoDuca having to interfere. Clay Velez recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A hard shot 47 in the game by Clay Velez from a close distance when the talented Ezra LoDuca managed to make a qualified save. ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola's players were relieved. The score stood at 1-1 when the half time whistle went. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Garry Elmore was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Flint Hurst left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola's Ezra LoDuca played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Garry Elmore in the 65th minute of play. Eric Siegel was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. 81 minutes into the game, Ben Driscoll was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Miami Lightnings the free kick. In the 81st match minute, ZKS Stal Stalowa Wola was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ben Driscoll to maneuver through the defense.
