When the match had gone on for 23 minutes, David Finley put it in 0-2 from a short distance just to the right of Ronald Barrow. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Clark Michaud managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Bend FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Clark Michaud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ronald Barrow breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 28 minutes into the game, River Bend FC's David Finley nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Ronald Barrow made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-3. 32 minutes into the match, USA Thunder's goal looked a bit too open when Abraham Waldron came free, but Ronald Barrow reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. USA Thunder's Ronald Barrow played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by David Finley in the 34th minute of play. In the 35th minute, David Finley ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Ronald Barrow was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-4. David Finley fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Barrow having to interfere. Abraham Waldron received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Ronald Barrow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. A collision led to River Bend FC getting a freekick after 51 minutes play. Jeramy Grady hit a great ball. USA Thunder's Ronald Barrow proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save USA Thunder from getting a goal against them. David Finley received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Ronald Barrow tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. River Bend FC's David Finley got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. USA Thunder's Perry Emerson suffered a sprained foot after 61 minutes and couldn't finish the game. After 62 minutes, Jeramy Grady mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the River Bend FC and the USA Thunder players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 63rd match minute, River Bend FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeramy Grady to maneuver through the defense. In the 65th minute, Jeramy Grady got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 66th minute the ball was on its way in behind River Bend FC's goalkeeper Neil Pierson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Dominique Seals hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Finley in the 72nd managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ronald Barrow saved USA Thunder from getting behind. In the 73rd minute, Ronny Stiles got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. David Finleys short, quick shot in the 75thth minute got Ronald Barrow to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Charlton House fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 76th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ronald Barrow having to interfere. In the 90th minute Ronny Stiles shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ronald Barrow saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 92nd play minutes David Finley shot 0-5, a short shot which went by Ronald Barrow and just under the crossbar into goal. 96 minutes into the match, River Bend FC's David Finley sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ronald Barrow narrowly saved just below the crossbar. When the match was over River Bend FC could go home with a victory in their luggage, having controlled the game far better than USA Thunder throughout the match.
