In the 37th match minute, Ducks was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Timothy Aviles to maneuver through the defense. 38 minutes into the match, Ducks's goal looked a bit too open when Alfonzo Wilkins came free, but Emanuel Lyle reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 38th minute, one of Ducks:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Ducks. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

In the 53rd minute Garrett Chan shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezra LoDuca saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
