The supporters of River Bend FC booed when Miami Lightnings was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 21 match minutes in a wonderful position. Reed McNair didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers David Finley in the 34th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Eric Siegel saved Miami Lightnings from getting behind. After having played for 55 minutes, Ronny Stiles managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Bend FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ronny Stiles was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. David Finley was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 57th minute. River Bend FC's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. Eric Siegel came out of the goal and Charlton House tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After having played for 95 minutes, Jesus Crabtree managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. River Bend FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jesus Crabtree was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. River Bend FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
