David Finley started the match with the kick off. River Bend FC's David Finley got a good chance for a goal in the 4th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Jeff Britton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Neil Pierson made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dallas Swartz in the 12th minute. 13 minutes into the game, Roland Parsons was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Vernon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Bend FC the free kick. In the 13th minute, Roland Parsons hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 15 minutes into the match, David Finley notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Mount Vernon AFC's Odell Carrier. Odell Carrier was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 21st minute David Finley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odell Carrier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 21 minutes into the game, Kareem Herman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mount Vernon AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave River Bend FC the free kick. After a rather tough play, Mount Vernon AFC's Kareem Herman got a free kick in the 21st minute. Abraham Waldron sent away a hard shot on goal in the 24th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Mount Vernon AFC's Jeff Britton got a good chance for a goal in the 27th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 29th match minute, Mount Vernon AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Jeff Britton to maneuver through the defense. When River Bend FC's David Finley in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mount Vernon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Mount Vernon AFC's zone, Ronny Stiles stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Odell Carrier came out of the goal and Ronny Stiles tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. River Bend FC's David Finley got a good chance for a goal in the 35th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Odell Carrier stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of David Finley's shot from short distance in the 40th minute. Ronny Stiles fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Odell Carrier having to interfere. David Finley kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. 47 minutes into the game, David Finley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Odell Carrier was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Jeff Britton to strike the kick off in the second half. After 55th play minutes David Finley shot 0-3, a short shot which went by Odell Carrier and just under the crossbar into goal. If David Finley had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 64th minute Scot DeJesus shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Odell Carrier saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 68th minute of the match, Charlton House tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Odell Carrier saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Mount Vernon AFC's Odell Carrier proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 70th minute of the match, managed to save Mount Vernon AFC from getting a goal against them. Odell Carrier didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Jeramy Grady went, in the 74th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-4 was the resulting score. David Finley had several of the Mount Vernon AFC's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 78 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Odell Carrier as he didn't even see the shot coming. When River Bend FC's David Finley in the 81st minute got a chance for a shot 81st didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Mount Vernon AFC's goalie prevented a goal. Ronny Stiles sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. David Finley's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Odell Carrier read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 84th minute of play. In the 85th match minute, River Bend FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Scot DeJesus to maneuver through the defense. River Bend FC's Ronny Stiles got a good chance for a goal in the 89th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Ronny Stiles managed to get in a good position for a shot. River Bend FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ronny Stiles was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odell Carrier breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. 95 minutes into the match, Dallas Swartz notched a goal, 1-5, to the right of River Bend FC's Neil Pierson. Neil Pierson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. River Bend FC's fans were overjoyed with their teams well-earned victory and stayed in the stadium long after the final whistle to celebrate the win.
