Val Lozano who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 10thth minute tested the skills of Otis Bates when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Val Lozano had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 18th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jesus Tracy might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Winston Estrada. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jesus Tracy ran back to his position shaking his head. If Luke Sapp had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 22nd minute. The supporters of Atlanta United FC booed when Taylor Mill was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benedict Hickey didn't get a good kick on the ball. The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Waylon Duarte to strike the kick off in the second half. After 53 minutes of play, Taylor Mill's Waylon Duarte made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Otis Bates was left in no man's land by his defense there! Through an outstanding action, after 56 minutes, Winston Estrada successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Winston Estrada made an important save on a dangerous shot by Jesus Tracy in the 61st minute. Jesus Tracy sent away a hard shot on goal in the 72nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Otis Bates took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Val Lozano, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rocco Duvall kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. In the 78th minute the ball was on its way in behind Atlanta United FC's goalkeeper Otis Bates, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Otis Bates showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Val Lozano, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. Jesus Tracy struck a weak shot in the 89th minute. Winston Estrada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Atlanta United FC. Monty Lefler recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Luke Sapp in the 94th minute of play forced Taylor Mill's goalkeeper Winston Estrada to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Atlanta United FC supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Atlanta United FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
