Nathan Spangler charged in rather forcefully in the 14th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. In the 24th minute, Berry Russo made a precise shot to the right of Dana Watkins. Hitchcock's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-2. The supporters of Manvel Argentina Soccer booed when Hitchcock was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nathan Spangler didn't get a good kick on the ball. 79 minutes had been played when some careless play by Hitchcock's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner.
