Dan Wilhelm took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tyson Stahl, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Rose got free with Dan Wilhelm in the 9th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some fancy dribbling in the 17th minute, Tyson Stahl managed to get in a good position for a shot. Spartak NY's supporters rose to their feet, but Tyson Stahl was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dan Wilhelm breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A hard shot by Olin Salgado from long distance, 20 minutes into the match, got Dan Wilhelm's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Andy Hurley charged in rather forcefully in the 22nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Andy Hurley the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tyson Stahl fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 25th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Dan Wilhelm having to interfere. Matthew Rose's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Dan Wilhelm read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 32nd minute of play. A collision led to C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0 getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Joshua Andersen hit a great ball. 35 minutes into the match, Spartak NY's Matthew Rose sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Dan Wilhelm narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Matthew Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Dan Wilhelm tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Andy Hurley hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dan Wilhelm made a fantastic save in the 43rd minute, when Matthew Rose sent off a good shot on target. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

If Matthew Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 53rdth minute of the game Tyson Stahl who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but C. A. Pipon Pipon 2.0's Dan Wilhelm was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After some careless play in the Spartak NY defense, Josiah Reyna kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Casper Shaver. The Spartak NY fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Casper Shaver should have stopped the shot. Casper Shaver was a little too slow when Benedict Richmond got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-2. Marc Olson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Benedict Richmond in the 75th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Shaver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 77th minute Benedict Richmond shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Casper Shaver saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Casper Shaver took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Benedict Richmond, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 89 minutes into the match, Spartak NY's goalkeeper Casper Shaver had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Marc Olson.
