The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After a defensive mix-up in Manvel Argentina Soccer's zone, Claudio Carrasco stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Iselin AFC's Ty Potts proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Iselin AFC from getting a goal against them. Berry Russo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 13th minute. Ty Potts tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. John Fuentes took the ball and in the 15 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Ty Potts. Ty Potts dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Ty Potts showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Berry Russo, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. 21 minutes into the match, Iselin AFC's goalkeeper Ty Potts had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by John Fuentes. 24 minutes into the game, Jarod Preston recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Ty Potts. Jarod Preston showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 2-0. After 27 minutes, Miguel Bravo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Manvel Argentina Soccer and the Iselin AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Miguel Bravo hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Ty Potts made a fantastic save in the 28th minute, when John Fuentes sent off a good shot on target. 29 minutes into the game, Dominic Lynn was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Iselin AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Manvel Argentina Soccer the free kick. After 29 played minutes Iselin AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dominic Lynn. 33 minutes into the match, Iselin AFC's Xavier McCullough sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Justin Keane narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Ty Potts took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Berry Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

52 minutes into the match, Manvel Argentina Soccer's goalkeeper Justin Keane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Xavier McCullough. After having played for 58 minutes, Xavier McCullough managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Iselin AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Xavier McCullough was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 66th minute, Claudio Carrasco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jarod Preston kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Iselin AFC's Ty Potts played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by John Fuentes in the 74th minute of play. A collision led to Manvel Argentina Soccer getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Miguel Bravo hit a great ball. After 80 minutes of play Iselin AFC's Dominic Lynn was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 81st match minute, Iselin AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Lynn to maneuver through the defense. 88 minutes into the match, Manvel Argentina Soccer's goalkeeper Justin Keane had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Claudio Carrasco. 90 minutes into the match, Iselin AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Jarod Preston came free, but Ty Potts reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 91 minutes into the game, John Fuentes cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1.
