Ari Brandon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Wyatt Benitez having to make a save. Disappointed in the 0-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Andrew Tanner was the one to do the kick off. With an all-out effort, Chalco's Wyatt Benitez threw himself towards the right post 76 minutes into the match and grabbed hold of the ball from Ari Brandon, which otherwise would have been placed in the net. When Andreas London came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Chalco fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Andreas London couldn't finish the play. Chalco's Cliff Robertson got a good chance for a goal in the 93rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Chalco's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
