If Matthew Rose had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Matthew Rose received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Elvis Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ezra Orlinsky in the 12th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Casper Shaver prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Al Staton received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Matthew Rose got free with Elvis Cain in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 40 minutes into the match, Spartak NY's goal looked a bit too open when Al Staton came free, but Casper Shaver reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Tyson Stahl had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 82 minutes into the match, Apathy FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyson Stahl came free, but Elvis Cain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The crowd rose to their feet as Apathy FC's Al Staton slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Casper Shaver. That made the score 0-1 after 86 minutes of play. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Apathy FC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
