The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ezra Orlinsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 4th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Walker Babcock having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Boston Celtics's Warner Jensen got a free kick in the 11th minute. 18 minutes into the game, Tanner Tripp was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Boston Celtics's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Apathy FC the free kick. The supporters of Apathy FC booed when Boston Celtics was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tanner Tripp didn't get a good kick on the ball. Through an outstanding action, after 19 minutes, Walker Babcock successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. The audience thought a goal was coming when Norberto Abrams got free with Walker Babcock in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Ezra Orlinskys short, quick shot in the 23rdth minute got Walker Babcock to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. 25 minutes into the match, Boston Celtics's goal looked a bit too open when Al Staton came free, but Walker Babcock reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Boston Celtics's Terrell Tatum got a free kick in the 28th minute. If Al Staton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 31st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tanner Tripp sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Boston Celtics's Walker Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Al Staton in the 43rd minute of play. Ezra Orlinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 44th minute. Walker Babcock tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Walker Babcock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Staton in the 46th minute of the match.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Tanner Tripp made a kick off. Apathy FC's Elvis Cain proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 54th minute of the match, managed to save Apathy FC from getting a goal against them. Boston Celtics's Walker Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezra Orlinsky in the 56th minute of play. Walker Babcock came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Apathy FC's Al Staton. But to his dismay, Al Staton quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. In the 62nd minute Al Staton shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walker Babcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 64 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Boston Celtics! Chuck McCord hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. Terrell Tatum kicked well hit freekick during the 71st minute of the match. Boston Celtics's Walker Babcock played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ezra Orlinsky in the 75th minute of play. Walker Babcock showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Al Staton in the 83rd minute of the match. In the 85th minute the ball was on its way in behind Apathy FC's goalkeeper Elvis Cain, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 87th minute Ezra Orlinsky shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Walker Babcock saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Walker Babcock took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezra Orlinsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The crowd rose to their feet and cheered when the referee blew the final whistle. Apathy FC had won after a very even match.
