Elvis Cain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgardo Abbott, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. A collision led to Podhale FC getting a freekick after 15 minutes play. Edgardo Abbott hit a great ball. Ezra Orlinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Lorenzo Newby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al Staton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Newby having to interfere. Lorenzo Newby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ezra Orlinsky, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 27 minutes in the game, Ezra Orlinsky dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Ezra Orlinsky scored 0-2 in the 31st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Lorenzo Newby, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Ezra Orlinsky sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Victor McHugh hit a great freekick 37 minutes into the match. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Al Staton in the 40th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Lorenzo Newby saved Podhale FC from getting behind. Leroy Cermak received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Elvis Cain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Leroy Cermak got free with Elvis Cain in the 43rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ezra Orlinsky in the 46th minute of play forced Podhale FC's goalkeeper Lorenzo Newby to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a defensive mix-up in Podhale FC's zone, Al Staton stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lorenzo Newby came out of the goal and Al Staton tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Al Staton made a kick off. Al Staton might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Lorenzo Newby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Al Staton ran back to his position shaking his head. 58 minutes into the match, Podhale FC's Leroy Cermak sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Elvis Cain narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 60th minute, Ezra Orlinsky reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Lorenzo Newby. The goal made the score 0-3. Ezra Orlinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 65th minute. Lorenzo Newby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Podhale FC's Leroy Cermak got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ezra Orlinsky fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 74th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Newby having to interfere. The supporters of Apathy FC booed when Podhale FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 75 match minutes in a wonderful position. Geraldo Wilcox didn't get a good kick on the ball. If Leroy Cermak had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 80th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ezra Orlinsky received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 84th minute. Lorenzo Newby tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Al Staton fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lorenzo Newby having to interfere. Ezra Orlinsky could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 90th minute of the match, but Lorenzo Newby made a huge save. Leroy Cermak blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Elvis Cain having to make a save. Apathy FC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
