Wayne Ransom received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 36th minute. Al Ames tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 38th minute, Denis Fay got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Wayne Ransom scored 0-4 in the 40th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Al Ames, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 44 played minutes, Mundelein FC's Aurelio Ybarra shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Ezra Stone came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Mundelein FC reached it. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-4 lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Wayne Ransom made a kick off. Rodeo FootBall's Dudley Downing pulled a muscle in his back after 55 minutes and couldn't finish the game. In the 56th match minute, Mundelein FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Trinidad Leal to maneuver through the defense. Denis Fay scored 0-5 in the 58th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Al Ames, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Mundelein FC's Al Ames proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 69th minute of the match, managed to save Mundelein FC from getting a goal against them. In the 70th match minute, Mundelein FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dominic Hoover to maneuver through the defense. Ezra Stone stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dominic Hoover's shot from short distance in the 73rd minute. If Dominic Hoover had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 74th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 83rd minute Junior Valencia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ezra Stone saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line.
