Spectators: 7630 (Terracing: 5763, Seating: 1767, VIP seats: 100) Dominic Hoover started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. In the 4th minute the ball was on its way in behind Mundelein FC's goalkeeper Al Ames, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 9 minutes in the game, Rocky Crews fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Al Ames having to interfere. If Rocky Crews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 29th minute, Junior Valencia got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After some fancy dribbling in the 31st minute, Stanford Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot. East Newark FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Stanford Arias was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Al Ames breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Al Ames came out of the goal in the 39th minute to try and stop a shot by East Newark FC's Stanford Arias. But to his dismay, Stanford Arias quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Al Ames took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Rocky Crews, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

After having played for 52 minutes, Stanford Arias managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. East Newark FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Stanford Arias was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Rocky Crews had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 54th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Junior Valencia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Alec Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Junior Valencia's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Alec Houston read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 64th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Mundelein FC's zone, Stanford Arias stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Al Ames came out of the goal and Stanford Arias tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Junior Valencia sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 83rd minute Dominic Hoover shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Alec Houston saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 85 minutes, Dominic Hoover managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mundelein FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dominic Hoover was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to East Newark FC getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Edmund Small hit a great ball. In the 90th minute, Rocky Crews got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.
