Weston Frenchs short, quick shot in the 4thth minute got Al Ames to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. The supporters of West Side Highway booed when Mundelein FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 5 match minutes in a wonderful position. Trinidad Leal didn't get a good kick on the ball. Al Ames showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mohammed Wiley, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. In the 15th minute, Weston French ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Al Ames was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Weston French got free with Al Ames in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Mohammed Wiley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Al Ames having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mohammed Wiley in the 23rd minute of play forced Mundelein FC's goalkeeper Al Ames to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 25 minutes into the match, West Side Highway's goal looked a bit too open when Dominic Hoover came free, but Andrew Goode reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When West Side Highway's Mohammed Wiley in the 27th minute got a chance for a shot 27th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The wind increased when Dominic Hoover made the kick off in the second half. Junior Valencia could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 55th minute of the match, but Andrew Goode made a huge save. A throw-in in the 58th minute of the game was made by Moses Madden with Junior Valencia as target, who quickly passed the ball forward. When Trinidad Leal fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Mundelein FC's protests and gave Trinidad Leal a yellow card for diving instead. 69 minutes into the game, Mohammed Wiley cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Al Ames was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 79th minute Weston French shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Al Ames saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Junior Valencia kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Andrew Goode showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dominic Hoover, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 89th minute, Trinidad Leal reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Andrew Goode. The goal made the score 2-1. Mohammed Wiley blasted a shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Al Ames having to make a save. Mundelein FC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
