Weston French hit a great freekick 3 minutes into the match. Boyd Simons's late challenge caught a West Side Highway's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Boyd Simons helped the player get up and apologised. After 4 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Downriver! A collision led to West Side Highway getting a freekick after 9 minutes play. Omar Dupre hit a great ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Francesco Hyde in the 10th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Andrew Goode saved West Side Highway from getting behind. Dirk Mitchell took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Weston French, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The audience was convinced that Weston French's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dirk Mitchell was relentless in the 32nd minute of the game. After 37 played minutes West Side Highway got a freekick which was hit by Reginald Gustafson. Downriver's attentive Zack Hansen managed to snatch the ball when Wyatt Theilacker made a throw-in in the 41st minute of the game. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 45th minute of the game. One of Downriver:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of West Side Highway:s goal. Dirk Mitchell came out of the goal in the 47th minute to try and stop a shot by West Side Highway's Wilford Wetzel. But to his dismay, Wilford Wetzel quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

West Side Highway were awarded a corner in the 58th minute after Downriver's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Wilford Wetzel took the corner. Reginald Gustafson took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 59th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Dirk Mitchell. Downriver's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Francesco Hyde succeeded in the game's 62nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. After 67 played minutes, West Side Highway's Reginald Gustafson shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Dirk Mitchell came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in West Side Highway reached it. Dirk Mitchell made an important save on a dangerous shot by Weston French in the 69th minute. Weston French who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 70thth minute tested the skills of Dirk Mitchell when he managed to save the team from getting behind. The referee felt a red card was in order, 72 minutes into the game, when Bob Tobin put in a rough tackle. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 72nd minute of the game. One of Downriver:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of West Side Highway:s goal. Wilford Wetzel walked up to take care of the penalty kick. He was aiming for the top corner, but the ball went just outside the post. In the 81st minute, Zack Hansen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Andrew Goode was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-3. Andrew Goode showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Zack Hansen, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Weston Oberle managed to get in a good position for a shot. Downriver's supporters rose to their feet, but Weston Oberle was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Andrew Goode breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Weston Oberle received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Andrew Goode tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The West Side Highway players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
