In the 7th minute, Watsontown's Raul Beal seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Raul Beal the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Watsontown protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Raul Beal had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Watsontown fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 7th minute. Penalty! Sebastian Kajdasz had in the 10thth minute some difficulties stopping Robbie Scott's well aimed penalty as it nearly passed him on his left side, but he still managed to hold the ball. If Stanford Arias had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 15 minutes into the match, Watsontown's goal looked a bit too open when Rocky Crews came free, but Sebastian Kajdasz reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Adolfo Todd's late challenge caught a East Newark FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Adolfo Todd helped the player get up and apologised. A collision led to Watsontown getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Adolfo Todd hit a great ball. In the 22nd minute of the match Quinton Barnett shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Sebastian Kajdasz showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. When Ernie Moreno came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Watsontown fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ernie Moreno couldn't finish the play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Willis McCord got free with Alec Houston in the 29th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. A collision led to Watsontown getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Ernie Moreno hit a great ball. Sebastian Kajdasz showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Rocky Crews in the 35th minute of the match. Sebastian Kajdasz showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rocky Crews, who was totally free with the ball in the 37th minute. After 43 played minutes Watsontown got a freekick which was hit by Willis McCord. Willis McCord sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Rocky Crews to make the kick off. After some fancy dribbling in the 51st minute, Sebastian Lange managed to get in a good position for a shot. Watsontown's supporters rose to their feet, but Sebastian Lange was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alec Houston breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After having played for 52 minutes, Ernie Moreno managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Watsontown's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ernie Moreno was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 54 minutes into the match, Ernie Moreno notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of East Newark FC's Alec Houston. Alec Houston was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After a rather tough play, Watsontown's Ernie Moreno got a free kick in the 61st minute. Stevie Ramey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. East Newark FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Ernie Moreno ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Ernie Moreno almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but East Newark FC's Alec Houston did a great save. Sebastian Lange received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Alec Houston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alec Houston showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Willis McCord in the 86th minute of the match. 88 minutes into the game, Willis McCord cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-0. Alec Houston was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Rocky Crews came up free with the goalie in the 92nd minute, the East Newark FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Rocky Crews couldn't finish the play. In the 97th minute, Ernie Moreno hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Watsontown had played much better football throughout.
