The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Sam Ponce during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Gotham City FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. Sam Ponce hit a great ball. 8 minutes into the match, SAJUCH FC's goal looked a bit too open when Albert Whitt came free, but Dominique Hamby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emery Caldwell got free with Reynaldo Faulkner in the 17th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 19 minutes, Mickey Haywood managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. SAJUCH FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mickey Haywood was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Albert Whitt in the 21st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Dominique Hamby saved SAJUCH FC from getting behind. After some fancy dribbling in the 29th minute, Albert Whitt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gotham City FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Albert Whitt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Dominique Hamby breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Warren Tilley in the 31st minute of play forced Gotham City FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Faulkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience was convinced that Albert Whitt's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Dominique Hamby was relentless in the 33rd minute of the game. Dominique Hamby didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Albert Whitt went, in the 35th minute, to the upper right corner, 0-1 was the resulting score. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Caleb Gray during the 39th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 39 played minutes Gotham City FC got a freekick which was hit by Caleb Gray. SAJUCH FC's Troy Staples shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 40th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Reynaldo Faulkner but with some difficulty. After having played for 42 minutes, Rigoberto Avery managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gotham City FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rigoberto Avery was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Albert Whitt recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Giovanni Thorpe to make the kick off. A collision led to SAJUCH FC getting a freekick after 53 minutes play. Leroy Savage hit a great ball. Wilfredo Clement struck a weak shot in the 54th minute. Dominique Hamby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Gotham City FC. Albert Whitt might have been able to make a better finish in the 56th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Dominique Hamby. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Albert Whitt ran back to his position shaking his head. An unexpected shot in the 59th minute by Albert Whitt got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. Gotham City FC's Albert Whitt got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When Sam Ponce came up free with the goalie in the 62nd minute, the Gotham City FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sam Ponce couldn't finish the play. Sam Ponce kicked well hit freekick during the 65th minute of the match. 67 minutes into the match, SAJUCH FC's Troy Staples sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reynaldo Faulkner narrowly saved just below the crossbar. If Giovanni Thorpe had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in SAJUCH FC's zone, Albert Whitt stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Dominique Hamby came out of the goal and Albert Whitt tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some careless play in the Gotham City FC defense, Warren Tilley kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Reynaldo Faulkner. The Gotham City FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Reynaldo Faulkner should have stopped the shot. In the 78th minute Albert Whitt shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Dominique Hamby saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 79th minute, Sam Ponce reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Dominique Hamby. The goal made the score 1-2. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickey Haywood in the 84th minute of play forced Gotham City FC's goalkeeper Reynaldo Faulkner to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Gotham City FC's Sam Ponce got a free kick in the 85th minute. A collision led to Gotham City FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Caleb Gray hit a great ball.
