After having played for 28 minutes, Jermaine Avila managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Gooners's supporters crossed their fingers, but Jermaine Avila was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After 37 played minutes Lake Shore AFC got a freekick which was hit by Richie Ashby. After some fancy dribbling in the 38th minute, Merle Simon managed to get in a good position for a shot. Gooners's supporters rose to their feet, but Merle Simon was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Russ Dobson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. In the 42nd minute Jermaine Avila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Dobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Dana Rosado's late challenge caught a Gooners's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Dana Rosado helped the player get up and apologised. After 43 played minutes Lake Shore AFC got a freekick which was hit by Dana Rosado. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Jermaine Avila made a kick off. In the 52nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Lake Shore AFC's goalkeeper Russ Dobson, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Lake Shore AFC's Russ Dobson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jermaine Avila in the 58th minute of play. Russ Dobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jermaine Avila, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. When Jermaine Avila fell near the penalty area in the 66th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Gooners's protests and gave Jermaine Avila a yellow card for diving instead. Jermaine Avila kicked well hit freekick during the 66th minute of the match. In the 71st minute Jermaine Avila shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Russ Dobson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Merle Simon sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Jermaine Avila had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 77th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. 81 minutes into the match, Edmundo Cooley notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Lake Shore AFC's Russ Dobson. Russ Dobson was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Merle Simon blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Russ Dobson having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Felix Durham got free with Johnson Stanton in the 88th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Lamar Winslow during the 90th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. 90 minutes into the game, one of Gooners:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 92nd minute there was a penalty for Lake Shore AFC. Salvatore Ziegler stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Johnson Stanton. 2-1. Felix Durham scored 2-2 in the 95th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Johnson Stanton, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Merle Simon charged in rather forcefully in the 99th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Merle Simon the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, Gooners's Merle Simon got a free kick in the 99th minute. Gooners were clearly unhappy with the draw, as they felt they had done enough to earn themselves a victory.
