Spectators: 7700 (Terracing: 5775, Seating: 1771, VIP seats: 154) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Dustin Carpenter started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute of the match, Clayton Zeigler tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Denis Ellison saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 4th minute, Clayton Zeigler got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Woodland AFC's Joel Yang got a free kick in the 5th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Clayton Zeigler in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Denis Ellison prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Clayton Zeigler sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Clayton Zeigler came up free with the goalie in the 29th minute, the Horus fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Clayton Zeigler couldn't finish the play. Denis Ellison made an important save on a dangerous shot by Wilmer Sutton in the 31st minute. If Wilmer Sutton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Clayton Zeigler took the ball and in the 42 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Denis Ellison. Denis Ellison dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-1. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Clayton Zeigler was the one to do the kick off. In the 52nd minute, Wilmer Sutton ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Denis Ellison was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Shaun Dobson showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Dustin Carpenter, who was totally free with the ball in the 59th minute. With 61 minutes on the clock, Ervin Ladd commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 68 minutes into the match, Horus's goalkeeper Shaun Dobson had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Esteban Byrne. Esteban Byrne fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Shaun Dobson having to interfere. Wilmer Sutton charged in rather forcefully in the 78th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Wilmer Sutton the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Wilmer Sutton managed to get in a good position for a shot. Horus's supporters rose to their feet, but Wilmer Sutton was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Denis Ellison breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Walker Stone had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Shaun Dobson made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Esteban Byrne in the 87th minute of play. In the 93rd match minute, Woodland AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Walker Stone to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute, Dustin Carpenter got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 98 minutes, Wilmer Sutton managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Horus's supporters crossed their fingers, but Wilmer Sutton was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Woodland AFC's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
