Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Orono's Arturo Parish started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Guillermo Witt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Salvador Russo in the 4th minute of play. Marlboro's Guillermo Witt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Salvador Russo in the 5th minute of play. Guillermo Witt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salvador Russo, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. After 8 played minutes Marlboro got a freekick which was hit by Sanford Gutierrez. Marlboro's Guillermo Witt played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Arturo Parish in the 9th minute of play. 11 minutes into the game, Edgar Bergman was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Orono's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Marlboro the free kick. Edgar Bergman hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. Guillermo Witt took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Salvador Russo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Guillermo Witt stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Arturo Parish's shot from short distance in the 18th minute. Arturo Parish fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 19th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Witt having to interfere. In the 20th minute, Salvador Russo got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Gerard Urmanski's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Guillermo Witt read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 27th minute of play. Orono's Arturo Parish got a good chance for a goal in the 30th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Walton Lin during the 31st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Edgar Bergman fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Witt having to interfere. In the 37th minute, Arturo Parish left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Orono fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ralph Noble in the 45th minute of play forced Orono's goalkeeper J.P. Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Porter Hills's late challenge caught a Marlboro's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Porter Hills helped the player get up and apologised. After a rather tough play, Orono's Porter Hills got a free kick in the 46th minute. Arthur Richey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 48th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without J.P. Rubio having to interfere. After the first half Orono were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Arthur Richey was the one to do the kick off. In the 53rd play minute Arturo Parish came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Guillermo Witt. 0-2. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Parish in the 56th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Witt saved Marlboro from getting behind. After 58 played minutes Marlboro got a freekick which was hit by Otto Beasley. Arturo Parishs short, quick shot in the 62ndth minute got Guillermo Witt to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Milan Cope hit a great freekick 65 minutes into the match. Guillermo Witt made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arturo Parish in the 70th minute of play. A hard shot 72 in the game by Arturo Parish from a close distance when the talented Guillermo Witt managed to make a qualified save. Marlboro's players were relieved. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arturo Parish in the 76th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Guillermo Witt saved Marlboro from getting behind. An unexpectedly hard shot by Matt Dillon in the 78th minute of play forced Orono's goalkeeper J.P. Rubio to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Marlboro's Guillermo Witt proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 80th minute of the match, managed to save Marlboro from getting a goal against them. In the 86th match minute, Orono was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Geoffrey Roland to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute of the match Vito Burr shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but J.P. Rubio showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. In the 90th minute, Walton Lin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. J.P. Rubio was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-2. Arturo Parish in the 93rdth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Guillermo Witt, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. When the final whistle sounded Orono left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marlboro.
