Guillermo Witt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Franklin Irvin fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 18th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Guillermo Witt having to interfere. 19 minutes into the game, Monroe Dyer cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Guillermo Witt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guillermo Witt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Monroe Dyer, who was totally free with the ball in the 23rd minute. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Monroe Dyer couldn't finish the play. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Arthur Richey made the kick off in the second half. If Monroe Dyer had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Guillermo Witt showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Willie Jenkins, who was totally free with the ball in the 54th minute. 56 minutes into the game, Matt Dillon cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-4. Jefferson Winter was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Guillermo Witt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Johnny Ludwig in the 64th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Willie Jenkins's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Guillermo Witt was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. With a little luck, Marlboro's Guillermo Witt got control of the ball when Monroe Dyer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Franklin Irvin struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Guillermo Witt didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Hawkinsville. Guillermo Witt was out of position in the 90 minute of play, and Franklin Irvin capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Franklin Irvin really showed his touch with that goal: 1-6. Guillermo Witt made an important save on a dangerous shot by Franklin Irvin in the 93rd minute. If Franklin Irvin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 95th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When the final whistle sounded Hawkinsville left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Marlboro.
