Eric Ruth received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 19th minute. Rudolph Lusk tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 25th minute Rocky Shapiro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudolph Lusk saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. If Rocky Shapiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 28th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 30th minute, Eric Ruth ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rudolph Lusk was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Rudolph Lusk made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Eric Ruth in the 32nd minute of play. Leonard Roy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Langley having to interfere. If Reinaldo Stanton had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Rocky Shapiro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Reinaldo Stanton in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Rudy Langley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Rocky Shapiro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 81st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudolph Lusk having to interfere. 82 minutes into the game, Elias Jaramillo was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Shawnee AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Fulham the free kick. An unexpectedly hard shot by Eric Ruth in the 88th minute of play forced Shawnee AFC's goalkeeper Rudolph Lusk to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. He was clearly angry that they had squandered their superior possession, allowing Fulham to win.
