When Shelby Burkhart was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 23 minutes had been played. After 24 played minutes Honeyfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Shelby Burkhart. Rolando Sylvester received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 28th minute. French stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Leonardo Dempsey came out of the goal and C.J. French tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Sora AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Norberto Friend came free, but Oswaldo Lemons reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling C.J. French in the 40th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Leonardo Dempsey prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 44th minute, Randy Chacon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Leonardo Dempsey stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of C.J. French's shot from short distance in the 46th minute. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and C.J. French made a kick off. Rolando Sylvester fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 55th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Leonardo Dempsey having to interfere. With a couple of smart ball manuevers C.J. French in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Leonardo Dempsey saved Honeyfreaks from getting behind. Pablo Holloway charged in rather forcefully in the 76th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Pablo Holloway the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Pablo Holloway hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. After 77 played minutes Honeyfreaks got a freekick which was hit by Andreas Boyer. When Randy Chacon fell near the penalty area in the 78th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Sora AFC's protests and gave Randy Chacon a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Honeyfreaks booed when Sora AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 78 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Chacon didn't get a good kick on the ball.
