Raul Meyer's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Jimmy Cruz read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 3rd minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Hans Ruth during the 6th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 8th minute Geoffrey Pickett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Lemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some careless play in the Sora AFC defense, Geoffrey Pickett kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oswaldo Lemons. The Sora AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oswaldo Lemons should have stopped the shot. After having played for 16 minutes, Mike Slaughter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Trabuco Highlands's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mike Slaughter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. 20 minutes into the match, Raul Meyer notched a goal, 1-1, to the right of Trabuco Highlands's Jimmy Cruz. Jimmy Cruz was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Sora AFC were furious when Anton Greene was red carded, 23 minutes into the game, but the referee dismissed their protests. In the 23rd match minute, Sora AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Anton Greene to maneuver through the defense. Oswaldo Lemons came out of the goal in the 25th minute to try and stop a shot by Trabuco Highlands's Hans Ruth. But to his dismay, Hans Ruth quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-2. In the 28th minute, Hans Ruth left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Trabuco Highlands fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. In the 36th minute Mike Slaughter shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Lemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Jimmy Cruz made an important save on a dangerous shot by Raul Meyer in the 37th minute. After having played for 38 minutes, Rolando Sylvester managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Sora AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rolando Sylvester was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Oswaldo Lemons showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from A.J. Mims in the 47th minute of the match.

A.J. Mims's late challenge caught a Sora AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. A.J. Mims helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Sora AFC booed when Trabuco Highlands was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 54 match minutes in a wonderful position. A.J. Mims didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rolando Sylvester's late challenge caught a Trabuco Highlands's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rolando Sylvester helped the player get up and apologised. In the 55th minute, Rolando Sylvester hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute Geoffrey Pickett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oswaldo Lemons saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 60th match minute, Sora AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Terry Whitehead to maneuver through the defense. Ian Saunders hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 72 minutes into the match, Sora AFC's Raul Meyer sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jimmy Cruz narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Oswaldo Lemons showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geoffrey Pickett, who was totally free with the ball in the 74th minute. Raul Meyer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 76th minute. Jimmy Cruz tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Rolando Sylvester in the 77th minute of play forced Trabuco Highlands's goalkeeper Jimmy Cruz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Trabuco Highlands's Mike Slaughter got a free kick in the 79th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Raul Meyer in the 83rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jimmy Cruz prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Art Mattson was astounded when the referee showed him the red card after a seemingly innocent challenge, 85 minutes into the match. 84 minutes into the game, one of Trabuco Highlands:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. A collision led to Sora AFC getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Pablo Holloway hit a great ball. A hard shot by Geoffrey Pickett from long distance, 92 minutes into the match, got Oswaldo Lemons's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Terry Whitehead kicked well hit freekick during the 97th minute of the match. The Sora AFC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Trabuco Highlands's performance. The match ended with a win for Trabuco Highlands.
