The referee ignored Real Madrid 23's protests and gave Wilber Manning a yellow card for diving instead. In the 6th match minute, Real Madrid 23 was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Wilber Manning to maneuver through the defense. If Derick Deleon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 18thth minute of the game Derick Deleon who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Real Madrid 23's Reyes Stearns was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Reyes Stearns made an important save on a dangerous shot by Dwight Ryan in the 22nd minute. In the 22nd minute, Delaware FC's Dwight Ryan ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Reyes Stearns. Reyes Stearns yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-0. 26 minutes into the match, Delaware FC's Derick Deleon sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Reyes Stearns narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Alejandro Waters kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. If Dwight Ryan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 3-0 became the score in the 32nd minute when Derick Deleon elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. 36 minutes into the match, Real Madrid 23's goalkeeper Reyes Stearns had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Dwight Ryan. In the 36th minute, Dario Rush hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. If Derick Deleon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Reyes Stearns showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Derick Deleon in the 39th minute of the match. Derick Deleon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 41st minute. Reyes Stearns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Reyes Stearns made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Derick Deleon in the 45th minute of play. Kristofer Pagan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Darron Heath, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Derick Deleon made a kick off. 52 minutes into the match, Real Madrid 23's goal looked a bit too open when Dwight Ryan came free, but Reyes Stearns reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Derick Deleon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 58th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reyes Stearns having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 64 minutes, Alonzo Hobbs took a quick shot and it went in 3-1 without a chance for Kristofer Pagan to make any attempt to save it. Derick Deleon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Reyes Stearns having to interfere. Delaware FC's Dwight Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 70th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 77 minutes, Dwight Ryan made it 4-1 with a short kick to the right side. Real Madrid 23's Reyes Stearns tried to save the shot but he was too slow in reacting to the shot. Real Madrid 23's Reyes Stearns played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Dwight Ryan in the 80th minute of play. Delaware FC's Dwight Ryan got a good chance for a goal in the 82nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Doug Minton kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After having played for 85 minutes, Dwight Ryan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Delaware FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dwight Ryan was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 87th minute, Derick Deleon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. When Quincy Lewis fell near the penalty area in the 89th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Real Madrid 23's protests and gave Quincy Lewis a yellow card for diving instead. Derick Deleon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 91st minute. Reyes Stearns tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Delaware FC had played much better football throughout.
