After a defensive mix-up in Bella Vista AFC's zone, Phillip Hammer stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Randall Stafford came out of the goal and Phillip Hammer tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 19th minute Hunter Aguilera shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Randall Stafford saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After having played for 22 minutes, Fred Moore managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bella Vista AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Fred Moore was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Henry Ryan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hal Beltran in the 25th minute of play. In the 32nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Warwick's goalkeeper Henry Ryan, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. With a little luck, Bella Vista AFC's Randall Stafford got control of the ball when Phillip Hammer tried to sneak it across the goal line. Hunter Aguilera struck a weak shot in the 56th minute. A fine initiative that could have resulted in a goal. In the 85th minute, Hal Beltran got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Fred Moore sent away a hard shot on goal in the 89th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bella Vista AFC's Don Willoughby got a free kick in the 95th minute. For all the effort they put into the match, the Warwick players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Bella Vista AFC.
