The wind increased when Werner Brock made the kick off in the second half. In the 56th match minute, Amesbury AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gavin Field to maneuver through the defense. Rueben Marino stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Werner Brock's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Odell Saunders showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Shayne Cortes in the 59th minute of the match. After 87 played minutes Amesbury AFC got a freekick which was hit by Gavin Field. After some fancy dribbling in the 88th minute, Werner Brock managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Lorenzo's supporters rose to their feet, but Werner Brock was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Rueben Marino breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 92 played minutes San Lorenzo got a freekick which was hit by Federico Johnson. If Spencer Martinez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 98th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. San Lorenzo's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
