The audience was convinced that Hunter Fuller's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Rusty Lowery was relentless in the 23rd minute of the game. The referee showed Rueben Johnston the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 43rd match minute, Chicago Red Bandits FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Johnston to maneuver through the defense. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Hunter Fuller to make the kick off. Rusty Lowery took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kelly Cleveland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rusty Lowery didn't succeed to prevent the ball from going into goal when San Pablo Team's Hunter Fuller shot an unexpected shot in the crossbar's under edge and made 2-0 in the ordered_time% minute. Hunter Fuller might have been able to make a better finish in the 63rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rusty Lowery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kelly Cleveland couldn't finish the play. When the referee ended the match the San Pablo Team players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
