In the 33rd minute Kip Nguyen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Claude Bernard saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. South Park Township's Claude Bernard played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kip Nguyen in the 34th minute of play. Claude Bernard took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Kip Nguyen, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 38th match minute, Chicago Red Bandits FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rueben Johnston to maneuver through the defense. Trenton Kirby struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Rusty Lowery didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for South Park Township. With a little luck, Chicago Red Bandits FC's Rusty Lowery got control of the ball when Pedro McGraw tried to sneak it across the goal line.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Kip Nguyen to strike the kick off in the second half. When Sanford Thacker fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chicago Red Bandits FC's protests and gave Sanford Thacker a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Chicago Red Bandits FC getting a freekick after 59 minutes play. Sanford Thacker hit a great ball. When Kip Nguyen came up free with the goalie in the 66th minute, the Chicago Red Bandits FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Kip Nguyen couldn't finish the play. Claude Bernard made a fantastic save in the 67th minute, when Wendell Belanger sent off a good shot on target. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Trenton Kirby in the 74th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rusty Lowery saved Chicago Red Bandits FC from getting behind. After a rather tough play, Chicago Red Bandits FC's Sam Geiger got a free kick in the 75th minute. After 77 played minutes Chicago Red Bandits FC got a freekick which was hit by Rueben Johnston. After 78 minutes of play, South Park Township's Pedro McGraw made it 2-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Rusty Lowery was left in no man's land by his defense there! Chicago Red Bandits FC's Rusty Lowery played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Pedro McGraw in the 82nd minute of play. In the 83rd minute the ball was on its way in behind Chicago Red Bandits FC's goalkeeper Rusty Lowery, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 84th minute of the match Colin Mann shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Rusty Lowery showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After having played for 86 minutes, Pedro McGraw managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. South Park Township's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pedro McGraw was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Trenton Kirby sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Trenton Kirby might have been able to make a better finish in the 91st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rusty Lowery. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Trenton Kirby ran back to his position shaking his head. There were very few away supporters still in the ground by the end of the match. Most of them had left early, disgusted by the way their team had been torn apart. South Park Township fully deserved thier win.
