Otsego City's Del Jennings proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 28th minute of the match, managed to save Otsego City from getting a goal against them. If Brant Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 33 played minutes Otsego City got a freekick which was hit by Randell Swartz. Del Jennings showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Brant Grant, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. 36 minutes into the match, Carbondale's goal looked a bit too open when Waylon Gentry came free, but Rolando Lamb reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After having played for 39 minutes, Josh Dugan managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. In the 47th minute, Brant Grant got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Hector Huber made a kick off. Del Jennings stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Brant Grant's shot from short distance in the 60th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Carbondale's Austin Snow tried to score from far away in the 85th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Hector Huber managed to get in a good position for a shot. Otsego City's supporters rose to their feet, but Hector Huber was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post.
