The audience thought a goal was coming when Dallas Marquez got free with Luciano Spivey in the 36th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Dallas Marquez could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 40th minute of the match, but Luciano Spivey made a huge save. In the 42nd minute, Shaun Courtney ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rodrigo Gifford was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-3.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Houston Gant stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Farmington FC's Rodrigo Gifford proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Farmington FC from getting a goal against them. In the 96th minute, Odell Eldridge hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Buchanan's Terrance Michael got a good chance for a goal in the 98th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The Buchanan supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Buchanan would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
