After a rather tough play, East Orange's Craig Abraham got a free kick in the 15th minute. In the 18th match minute, East Orange was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Otto to maneuver through the defense. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brendon Diggs in the 20th minute of play forced Carbondale's goalkeeper Rolando Lamb to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. With a little luck, East Orange's Reuben Busby got control of the ball when Brant Grant tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ezra Crosby kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Josh Dugan recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Craig Abraham sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Carbondale's Ralph Strange got a free kick in the 32nd minute. If Brant Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Josh Dugan's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Reuben Busby was relentless in the 53rd minute of the game. The attack was good, but when Brant Grant in the 54th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. Dennis Otto kicked well hit freekick during the 55th minute of the match. 61 minutes into the match, East Orange's goal looked a bit too open when Brant Grant came free, but Reuben Busby reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Reuben Busby made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-0. Reuben Busby took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Josh Dugan, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brant Grant struck a weak shot in the 75th minute. Reuben Busby didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Carbondale. East Orange's Brendon Diggs got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. When the match clock showed 87 minutes, the score became 4-0 when Brant Grant sped through East Orange's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Reuben Busby. Rolando Lamb didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Craig Abraham went, in the 90th minute, to the upper right corner, 4-1 was the resulting score. Reuben Busby showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Josh Dugan, who was totally free with the ball in the 95th minute. Brant Grant sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Carbondale's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
