To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 16 minutes into the match, Tad Morgan sent off a long shot that looked like it was going straight into the goal, but because Percy Almeida threw himself in his full length he managed to grip the ball by the left post, and there was no goal for Tad Morgan this time. The supporters of Sinton booed when San Martin SJ was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gregory Farr didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Emanuel Hobbs got free with Percy Almeida in the 19th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After some careless play in the Sinton defense, Franklin Wilcox kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Terrence Mabry. The Sinton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Terrence Mabry should have stopped the shot. Percy Almeida made a fantastic save in the 26th minute, when Ward Barry sent off a good shot on target. During the 27th minute of the match Gregory Farr completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Gregory Farr a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After a rather tough play, San Martin SJ's Gregory Farr got a free kick in the 27th minute. Percy Almeida made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Brock Donnelly in the 31st minute of play. Percy Almeida made a fantastic save in the 33rd minute, when Ward Barry sent off a good shot on target. If Werner Cohen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 36th minute Brock Donnelly shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Percy Almeida saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Percy Almeida showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Emanuel Hobbs, who was totally free with the ball in the 42nd minute. In the 47th minute, Emanuel Hobbs hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-1.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Werner Cohen was the one to do the kick off. When Percy Peterson fell near the penalty area in the 56th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored San Martin SJ's protests and gave Percy Peterson a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to San Martin SJ getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Percy Peterson hit a great ball. Sinton's Terrence Mabry proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 59th minute of the match, managed to save Sinton from getting a goal against them. Terrence Mabry was a little too slow when Werner Cohen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 65th minute. The score was now 0-2. Brock Donnelly hit a great freekick 68 minutes into the match. Jamar Holliday received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 72nd minute. Terrence Mabry tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With 76 minutes on the clock, Jarrett Potts commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. A collision led to San Martin SJ getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. Jarrett Potts hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Brock Donnelly in the 80th minute of play forced San Martin SJ's goalkeeper Percy Almeida to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Jamar Holliday charged in rather forcefully in the 82nd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Jamar Holliday the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play.
