Colin McGee recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Mason Grant in the 8th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Lawrence Post prevented the ball from getting in the gole. 16 minutes into the match, Wanderers's goalkeeper Lawrence Post had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ezra Lockhart. Edmund Kendall's late challenge caught a Besëlidhja Lezhë's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Edmund Kendall helped the player get up and apologised. In the 19th minute, Edmund Kendall hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Jeff Christian took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 20th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Lawrence Post. Wanderers's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Colin McGee, who was totally free with the ball in the 28th minute. Besëlidhja Lezhë's Rex Strickland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Colin McGee in the 31st minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Leonard Clifford during the 32nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 32nd minute, Leonard Clifford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rex Strickland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Miguel Vela in the 35th minute of play. Saul Frederick took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Lawrence Post. Lawrence Post dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Miguel Vela might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Rex Strickland. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Miguel Vela ran back to his position shaking his head. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Colin McGee was the one to do the kick off. When Mason Grant, who was free, got the in front of the goal in the 55 minute he wasn't focused and tipped the ball just over the goal. The Lawrence Post was delighted since the ball would have got in if it had gone under the crossbar. In the 64th minute, Mason Grant made a precise shot to the right of Lawrence Post. Wanderers's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-0. If Mason Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mason Grant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Lawrence Post having to interfere. Lawrence Post took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mason Grant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Miguel Vela could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 78th minute of the match, but Rex Strickland made a huge save. Miguel Vela received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Rex Strickland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colin McGee struck a weak shot in the 95th minute. Rex Strickland didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Wanderers. Wanderers's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
