After 23rd play minutes Geraldo Rosenberg shot 0-1, a short shot which went by Rex Strickland and just under the crossbar into goal. Rex Strickland made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tom Franco in the 26th minute of play. If Mason Grant had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 29th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Through an outstanding action, after 33 minutes, Ben Newsome successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Ezra Lockharts short, quick shot in the 36thth minute got Ben Newsome to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Geraldo Rosenberg received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 37th minute. Rex Strickland tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rex Strickland showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Geraldo Rosenberg, who was totally free with the ball in the 39th minute. Besëlidhja Lezhë's Rex Strickland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Geraldo Rosenberg in the 40th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Besëlidhja Lezhë's Dean Church got a free kick in the 43rd minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Geraldo Rosenberg in the 45th minute of play forced Besëlidhja Lezhë's goalkeeper Rex Strickland to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Tom Franco recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 46th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Joe Cormier's late challenge caught a Besëlidhja Lezhë's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Joe Cormier helped the player get up and apologised. In the 48th minute, Joe Cormier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Mason Grant blasted a shot towards the goal in the 50th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ben Newsome having to make a save. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-1 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Geraldo Rosenberg was the one to do the kick off. A hard shot 55 in the game by Geraldo Rosenberg from a close distance when the talented Rex Strickland managed to make a qualified save. Besëlidhja Lezhë's players were relieved. Tom Franco fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rex Strickland having to interfere. Leonard Clifford kicked well hit freekick during the 68th minute of the match. Ben Newsome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mason Grant in the 74th minute of play. Morningstar FC's Tom Franco got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ben Newsome made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ezra Lockhart in the 79th minute of play. 81 minutes into the match, Besëlidhja Lezhë's Mason Grant sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Ben Newsome narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Tom Franco got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Rex Strickland took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Geraldo Rosenberg, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Dallas Dow charged in rather forcefully in the 85th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dallas Dow the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Tom Franco sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 90 minutes into the match, Besëlidhja Lezhë's goalkeeper Rex Strickland had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tom Franco. Morningstar FC's supporters were very happy and cheered loudly because their team had won after a very close match.
