After 54 minutes of play, Richton AFC's Markus Dawkins made it 2-3 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Tomas Gillis was left in no man's land by his defense there! Jess Messer struck a weak shot in the 59th minute. Tomas Gillis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Richton AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mickey Major in the 64th minute of play forced Richton AFC's goalkeeper Lance Stallings to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After 68 played minutes Richton AFC got a freekick which was hit by Keith Mohr. When Ian Bynum fell near the penalty area in the 76th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Richton AFC's protests and gave Ian Bynum a yellow card for diving instead. The Federal Way supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Richton AFC's performance. The match ended with a win for Richton AFC.
