Tory McClain in the 12thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Lawrence Post, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Miguel Vela fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 14th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Luther Metzger having to interfere. In the 16th minute, Colin McGee made a precise shot to the right of Luther Metzger. West Hills FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Tory McClain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-1. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
