Bernardo Goins who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 4thth minute tested the skills of Tyron Miller when he managed to save the team from getting behind. If Eldon Corbin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Cicero getting a freekick after 17 minutes play. Louis Matlock hit a great ball. Mickey Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyron Miller having to interfere. Gordon Weaver recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 24th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Shannon Feldman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 25th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gordon Weaver in the 27th minute of play forced Ossian AFC's goalkeeper Douglass Meyer to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Louis Matlock came up free with the goalie in the 34th minute, the Cicero fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Louis Matlock couldn't finish the play. In the 41st play minute Bernardo Goins came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Tyron Miller. 1-0. Mickey Romano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 45th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tyron Miller having to interfere. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gordon Weaver made a kick off. If Bernardo Goins had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 58th minute, Gordon Weaver got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After having played for 65 minutes, Bernardo Goins managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ossian AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Bernardo Goins was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Bernardo Goins sent away a hard shot on goal in the 71st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Louis Matlock kicked well hit freekick during the 72nd minute of the match. In the 75th minute Ossian AFC were awarded a corner. Darin Cardona went to the cornerflag to take it. The corner led Ossian AFC's Darin Cardona to fire away a dangerous shot which Tyron Miller despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. If Gordon Weaver had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 78th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Bernardo Goins struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Tyron Miller didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Ossian AFC. Douglass Meyer took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Shannon Feldman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 87th minute Gordon Weaver shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Douglass Meyer saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Ossian AFC getting a freekick after 87 minutes play. Darin Mims hit a great ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 93rd minute, Shannon Feldman managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cicero's supporters rose to their feet, but Shannon Feldman was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Douglass Meyer breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick.
