Bridgton FC's Bryan Coleman got a good chance for a goal in the 11th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Olin Richey fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vicente Kirkland having to interfere. Rory Gleason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sung Flynn in the 21st minute of play. After 21 played minutes Opportunity got a freekick which was hit by Kerry Crockett. Pedro Trimble sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 45th minute of the match, Sung Flynn tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Rory Gleason saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Kerry Crockett's late challenge caught a Bridgton FC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kerry Crockett helped the player get up and apologised. In the 47th match minute, Opportunity was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kerry Crockett to maneuver through the defense. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Pedro Trimble stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Rory Gleason made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Everett Sawyer in the 54th minute of play. 56 minutes in the game, Gregg Jensen fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Vicente Kirkland having to interfere. Sung Flynn took the ball and in the 58 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Rory Gleason. Rory Gleason dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. Rory Gleason showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sung Flynn, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. In the 79th minute Pedro Trimble shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rory Gleason saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Rory Gleason took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bryan Coleman, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rory Gleason showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Pedro Trimble in the 94th minute of the match. In the 96th minute, Bryan Coleman ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Rory Gleason was frozen by the shot and now it was 4-0. When the referee ended the match the Bridgton FC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
