Ace Talbot started the match with the kick off. Ollie William hit a great freekick 2 minutes into the match. Santo Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ace Talbot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 5th minute Sydney Harrington shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Swain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ace Talbot in the 8th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Santo Swain saved Paxton AFC from getting behind. Ace Talbot fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Santo Swain having to interfere. In the 12th minute, Ace Talbot ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Santo Swain was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Paxton AFC's Santo Swain played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ollie William in the 15th minute of play. 20 minutes into the match, Paxton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ace Talbot came free, but Santo Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Santo Swain made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Sydney Harrington in the 21st minute of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Ace Talbot in the 24th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Santo Swain prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Santo Swain showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ace Talbot in the 25th minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Paxton AFC's Pedro Overton got a free kick in the 29th minute. 30 minutes into the game, Jason Lovett cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-3. Santo Swain was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Pedro Overton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 33rd minute of the match, but Gilbert Tilley made a huge save. 34 minutes into the match, Umbrella's goalkeeper Gilbert Tilley had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Pedro Overton. In the 39th minute, Ollie William got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Santo Swain took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ace Talbot, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ollie William received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 45th minute. Santo Swain tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Santo Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ace Talbot, who was totally free with the ball in the 47th minute. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 0-3 lead.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. DeAndre Grimes was the one to do the kick off. The supporters of Paxton AFC booed when Umbrella was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 52 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ollie William didn't get a good kick on the ball. Corey Vigil hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. Ollie William could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Santo Swain made a huge save. With 62 minutes on the clock, Joshua Emerson commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. In the 64th minute there was a penalty for Umbrella. Larry Luke stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Santo Swain. 0-4. 68 minutes into the match, Paxton AFC's goalkeeper Santo Swain had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Ollie William. If Dave Clemons had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 70th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 72 minutes, Mickey Hutton mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Umbrella and the Paxton AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 72nd match minute, Umbrella was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mickey Hutton to maneuver through the defense. Mickey Hutton's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Santo Swain read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play.
