In the 6th minute, Sid Quintana got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 10 minutes into the match, Jah Guide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Mullen came free, but Alonso Coley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some careless play in the Mormons FBC defense, Jeffrey Skaggs kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bret Hedrick. The Mormons FBC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bret Hedrick should have stopped the shot. Jeffrey Skaggs received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Bret Hedrick tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Randy Randolph hit a great freekick 18 minutes into the match. A hard shot 29 in the game by Sid Quintana from a close distance when the talented Alonso Coley managed to make a qualified save. Jah Guide FC's players were relieved. Bret Hedrick showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerold Gonzalez, who was totally free with the ball in the 30th minute. After having played for 33 minutes, Ted Mullen managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Mormons FBC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ted Mullen was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jerold Gonzalez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bret Hedrick having to interfere. In the 40th minute Jeffrey Skaggs shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bret Hedrick saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. When Mormons FBC's Ted Mullen in the 42nd minute got a chance for a shot 42nd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Jah Guide FC's goalie prevented a goal. Alonso Coley was a little too slow when Ted Mullen got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 45th minute. The score was now 1-1. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When Sid Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 52nd minute, the Mormons FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Quintana couldn't finish the play. Jeffrey Skaggs might have been able to make a better finish in the 55th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Bret Hedrick. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Jeffrey Skaggs ran back to his position shaking his head. Jah Guide FC's Alonso Coley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sid Quintana in the 56th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Jah Guide FC's zone, Ted Mullen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Alonso Coley came out of the goal and Ted Mullen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Ted Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 62 minutes into the game, Randy Randolph was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mormons FBC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Jah Guide FC the free kick. The supporters of Jah Guide FC booed when Mormons FBC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 62 match minutes in a wonderful position. Randy Randolph didn't get a good kick on the ball. 80 minutes into the match, Jah Guide FC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Mullen came free, but Alonso Coley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 82nd minute, Sid Quintana managed to get in a good position for a shot. Mormons FBC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sid Quintana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Alonso Coley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ted Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alonso Coley came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Mormons FBC's Sid Quintana. But to his dismay, Sid Quintana quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-1. If Sid Quintana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 89th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ted Mullen in the 91st managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Alonso Coley saved Jah Guide FC from getting behind. In the 93rd minute, Bruce Lester made a precise shot to the right of Alonso Coley. Jah Guide FC's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 3-1. Mormons FBC walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
