An unexpectedly hard shot by Marcos Reece in the 5th minute of play forced Mormons FBC's goalkeeper Bret Hedrick to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 8th minute Ted Mullen shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Santo Swain saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Paxton AFC's zone, Ted Mullen stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Swain came out of the goal and Ted Mullen tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 17 minutes into the match, Paxton AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Ted Mullen came free, but Santo Swain reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 18 minutes, Garrett Thurston mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Paxton AFC and the Mormons FBC players grew even worse after the yellow card. Santo Swain made a fantastic save in the 23rd minute, when Sid Quintana sent off a good shot on target. Santo Swain showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ted Mullen, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. Caleb Pearson's late challenge caught a Mormons FBC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Caleb Pearson helped the player get up and apologised. Pedro Overton kicked well hit freekick during the 28th minute of the match. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Randy Randolph during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Mormons FBC's Randy Randolph got a free kick in the 40th minute. If Ted Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 43rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for DeAndre Grimes to strike the kick off in the second half. If Ted Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Sid Quintana took the ball and in the 56 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Santo Swain. Santo Swain dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. A collision led to Mormons FBC getting a freekick after 68 minutes play. Travis Bristol hit a great ball. Garrett Thurston hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Santo Swain came out of the goal in the 75th minute to try and stop a shot by Mormons FBC's Ted Mullen. But to his dismay, Ted Mullen quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-0. Sid Quintana sent away a hard shot on goal in the 80th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Sid Quintana came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Mormons FBC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sid Quintana couldn't finish the play. The audience was convinced that Ted Mullen's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Santo Swain was relentless in the 84th minute of the game. If Ted Mullen had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 86th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Paxton AFC's zone, Sid Quintana stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Santo Swain came out of the goal and Sid Quintana tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the referee ended the match the Mormons FBC players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
